祝贺我校一年级（8）班叶芝华同学，在2月14日于美国夏洛特举行的北卡罗来纳州学生国际象棋比赛中，荣获K-1年级组冠军！他也成为此次赛事年龄最小的冠军！
本次比赛，共有全州52名小选手参加了K-1组的赛事。叶芝华6战6胜。在冠亚军决赛中，叶芝华与对手的实力非常接近，经过紧张角逐，如愿夺冠。
2月28日和3月1日，叶芝华又继续参加了旧金山的Susan Polgar foundation国际象棋比赛。该赛事是一年一度的国际青年国际象棋比赛的选拔赛，各个年龄组的第一名可代表美国参加今年在希腊举行的国际比赛。在8岁组的比赛中，叶芝华与来自全美的67名小朋友切磋较量，取得了4胜2负的好成绩，名列第11。明年，叶芝华仍有一次参加8岁组比赛的机会，愿他再接再厉、再创佳绩！
Alfred Zhihua Ye, from class 8 of grade 1, won the 2015 NC K-1 Chess Championship.
Congratulations to Alfred Ye of Class 8, Grade 1 on winning the 2015 NC K-1 Chess Championship held at the Charlotte, NC on Feb 14th. He is also the youngest champion to win this championship.
Competing against all 52 contestants from North Carolina in K-1 group, Alfred earned the K-1 Championship by winning all six rounds. In the last round, Alfred’s opponent was very competitive. Alfred seized the final victory after a fierce game.
Following the state level game, on Feb 28th and Mar 1st, Alfred went on to the international chess game in San Francisco organized by Susan Polgar Foundation. This game is a tryout for the annual International Youth Chess Game and the winners of each age group will participate on behalf of the United States in the international game, which is held in Greece this year. After competing against 67 kids from all over America, Alfred won 4 out of 6 rounds, ranking 11th . He also has an opportunity to take part in the U8 group competition next year. Wish him make more achievement next year.
