5月16日上午，我校在操场举行“北外附校第八届外语文化节开幕式”。校长林卫民、党总支书记陈韵、常务副校长王彤及北外附校全体教职工和全体中学生参加了开幕式。
庄严隆重的升旗仪式结束后，伴随着美妙的音乐，学生队伍中传来了动听的歌声，原来这是初三西德双语班的伍振玉同学给大家带来的西语歌曲《玫瑰》（Rosas），合着音乐的节拍，她走出学生队伍，边唱边和老师同学们挥手致意，全场师生立即爆以热烈的掌声。
初一英语特长班表演的舞蹈《大家一起来》（Together），她们那充满青春气息的舞蹈动作，和着激烈动感的音乐，把会场的气氛推向了高潮。最后，初二西德双语班的全体同学给大家带来了舞蹈《只有一个字》（Nur ein Wort），他们诙谐幽默的动作和活泼可爱的造型，让在场的每个人沉浸在一片欢乐的海洋中。
在英语、德语、西语班同学们的精彩节目后，常务副校长王彤博士用英文致开幕词，她对同学们寄予深切的希望，希望通过外语文化节这个平台，同学们可以尽情展示自己的外语才华，提高外语学习兴趣，营造附校外语文化氛围。王校长热情洋溢的致词，赢得同学们热烈的掌声。
本届外语文化节主题为“低碳生活”，为期近两周，主要活动有：外语卡拉ok大赛、英文电影欣赏、外语节目汇演、外语之星评比、外语节徽标设计、书法展览以及游园会等活动。

It’s our great pleasure to hold the 8th Foreign Language and Culture Festival in this beautiful weather.
The theme of this year’s festival is “Low Carbon Life”.
Low carbon life is badly needed to achieve the harmony between human beings and nature and to promote the development of mankind. I sincerely hope that the festival will change every one of us to become a low carbon citizen.
Many teachers and students have prepared thoroughly for this event. Here, let’s thank them for all they have done!
The festival includes different kinds of activities, such as foreign language Karaoke Competition, appreciation of foreign language movies, talent show, written competition and the logo design competition.
It is a stage for you to show your talents and practise what you have learned in your foreign language classes.
I firmly believe that the Festival will help you love the foreign languages you are learning much better!
