10月24日下午，由初一英语组主办的诗歌散文朗诵比赛——English Poetry & Prose Recitation Contest在我校国瑞厅举办。英语外教Adam, Amar, Harris和 Sean以及特约嘉宾杨卓老师和宋阿云老师出席并担任评委。

一场引人入胜的朗诵比赛拉开帷幕。比赛中，每个班级都发挥得极为出色，朗诵形式多种多样。初一二班将朗诵与舞蹈完美结合，展现出了朗诵的艺术魅力。五班以吉他弹奏作为朗诵的背景音乐，带来了听觉的盛宴。还有班级，通过不同的队伍变换以及情景演绎，让台下的观众身临其境，领悟诗歌散文的内涵。今天的朗诵表演，展现的不仅是英语朗诵的声音魅力，还有惊艳的舞台演绎，更有学生们美好的精神世界。

在本次朗诵活动中，学生们体会到了朗读的快乐。相信他们对英语诗歌、文学的兴趣会不断增长，英语学习能力全方位得到提高。

From English Poetry & Prose Recitation Contest, I have learned a lot about reading and performance. It did broaden my horizon. What is more, I feel so proud of my classmates and me because finally our got the first prize. All these are owing to my teacher Yan Sir, who prepared so much for our class. For example, selecting the excellent performers, designing the rap and dance and so on. We are so thankful  to him. At last, I want to show the motto of my class: Each one of our classmates is one drop of water and we gather together to welcome all the challenges and never give up.

Through this activity, I felt the power of my class. We all tried our best to give the audience a satisfying performance and we really made it. We finally got the best award. It paid off all the work. I’m so excited. I love my class.

I think all the students in my school are very talented. The student in class five is good at singing and playing the guitar. The boys in class two can dance very well. The reading sound of class 3 is so beautiful that touched me. Of course, I also think my class also give us an inspiring recitation.
