9月29日，在国庆节和中秋节双节即将到来之际，为了让我校外教体验中国文化传统文化、增强团队凝聚力，我校初中部在音乐教室举办了外教体验中秋节及民族乐器古筝体验活动。本次活动由初中国际部负责人张丽君主持并担任翻译。
首先，张丽君向外教们介绍了活动目的和环节。接着，由初二（3班）姜思琪同学用流利的英语为外教们介绍了中秋节的由来。音乐老师张燕萍首先以一首《渔舟唱晚》独奏震惊全场，让全体老师们体会到了古筝的美。张老师向外教们讲解了基本的乐理知识和古筝弹奏基本指法。在她的耐心指导下外教们认真练习，并积极地与张老师就古筝的弹奏方法进行交流。最后大家成功地弹奏了经典名曲《笑傲江湖》。
活动后，外教们纷纷表示特别感谢学校为他们组织这样的传统文化体验团建活动，让他们体会到了中国传统音乐的美，也更深的了解了中国传统节日中秋节和民族乐器。他们感到在北外附校工作非常开心。
On 29th September 2017, the foreign teachers were warmly invited to participate in a cultural event hosted by the music department of Beijing Foreign Languages school. In this activity, music teacher introduced one of the classical Chinese instruments, otherwise known as the guzheng.
As it was the first time any of the teachers had played this instrument, we felt both curious and excited to take part. Each teacher was assigned with their own guzheng instrument to play. Once we were sat down, Ms Zhang introduced us to the beautiful sound of the guzheng by playing a very famous traditional song known as Fishing Boat in the Evening. After being mesmerized by her passionate performance, the foreign teachers and I felt we were ready to have a go for ourselves!
Our new music teacher explained to us the history of the guzheng, as well as the basic techniques and traditional playing styles. By the end of the hour, all the foreign teachers had learned how to play a short song together in synchrony! The event concluded with a round of applause for Ms Zhang and the other staff who helped to organize this opportunity for us.
Listening to the enchanting sounds of the guzheng was an unforgettable experience for all involved. We all felt grateful for the opportunity to take part in this activity and it has undeniably broadened our appreciation and love ofChinese culture. I hope I will get a chance to play the guzheng again soon!
