4月15日下午，我校举行第12届外语节高中戏剧展演及闭幕式。常务副校长王彤博士出席本次活动并致祝贺词。校长助理、教务处主任王静，德育处杨磊主任，德育处副主任刘长虹出席本次活动。高一、高二全体师生一起观看了本次外语节戏剧展演的精彩节目。
外语节体现了我校的办学特色，是我校校园文化建设的一大品牌活动，已经连续11年举办。外语节中的戏剧表演融合了东、西方文化的不同要素，展示了外语文化的独特魅力，使学生们将外语能力与舞台表现充分结合，体现了学生的想象力和创造力。
本次戏剧展演的剧目均由各年级同学们自编、自导、自演，由前期的构思创作，到后期的台词修改，在英语任课老师、外籍专家及团委老师的指点与帮助下，为全体同学呈献了一场精彩的视觉盛宴。
高二年级戏剧社的同学们用一场英文版的《雷雨》，征服了现场500余名师生，也博得了外籍专家们的赞扬。他们凭借对名家名作的理解和思考，以真挚的情感投入增强戏剧冲突，以新视角讲述这段追求人性自由与爱情的悲情故事，呈现这部纠缠血缘扭曲人性的绝唱，并通过有别于传统的表演形式，对这一中国话剧史上无可争议的经典作品进行了新的诠释。
高一年级戏剧社的同学们演绎的是莎士比亚经典名剧《Romeo and Juliet》的改编版。演员们用真挚的感情、全心的付出演绎着这一经典名作。幕起，一段悲凉的音乐传入观众的耳朵，致词人悠悠地诉说两个仇恨事世家受诅咒的爱情故事，细说从头，我们彷佛和他们一起见证了这一场惊心动魄的爱情悲剧。剧中，导演加入了吉他弹唱，句中的曲目更由演员演唱，使得整出戏活泼生动、饶有趣味，令人心潮澎湃。句尾自编自制的下期预告视频也令在场师生印象深刻。
在闭幕式上，王彤、王静、杨磊、刘长虹等领导分别为获奖班级、同学颁奖。
经过全体师生的共同努力，我校第12届外语节画上了圆满的句号。
Today we gather here to have a big celebration of the Foreign Languages Festival. To be more exact, we will have the Foreign Languages Drama Show. I am so proud that junior one, junior two, senior one and senior two will stage four plays. They are The Merchant of Venice by Junior One, The Sound of Music by Wu Yinghan and Wang Yunlong’s team from Junior Two, Romeo and Juliet by He Jiawen and Niu Haoyuan’s team from Senior One, and Thunderstorm by Li Jinlin, Li Long, and Li Niannian’s team from Senior Two. All the players, please stand up. Let’s give them a big hand.
Here, let’s not forget the teachers who guide, coach, support, and help. Who are they? They are Zhang Shuo, Zhao Xiaomin, Tao Yi, Yang Jianya, Wang Xiaohong, Liu Zhixin, and Zhang Linfeng. All the teachers, thank you very much.
You may have noticed that among the four plays, two were authored by William Shakespeare. We all know that Shakespeare is part of British people’s life and an important component of western culture. He is THE father of English language and today we are still very familiar with his words. For example, in the play of the Merchant of Venice, “Love is blind” and “All that glitters is not gold”.
Ladies and gentlemen, language is only a tool. Behind it is culture and way of thinking. I hope that all of you not only speak a foreign language but also develop the wisdom of comparing different cultures and embracing human civilization.
