This autumn I went to America as an exchange student. I had a really good time. I make a lot of friends and learn the differences between Chinese culture and American culture.
Denver, the capital of Colorado, is a good place to go sight-seeing and go shopping. We went to the Cave of the winds, Denver Mint, Red Rocks, Sellystone Park, Pikes Peak, Air Force Academy and Museum of Nature. I think the Pikes Peak is the most interesting place. The lakes and mountains were beautiful and I took lots of pictures. The food of the top of the mountain was delicious. It could make you feel comfortable and warm.
The air there is clean and cool. The house is cute and beautiful. As for the school—Global Village Academy, it is a school where there are interesting classes and lovely students. The time I spent there made me feel relaxed and happy. We had art, music, English, math, science, geography and gym class with GVA students. My favorite class is English. The teacher asked us to find our own partner and tell the story that made us feel memorable. My partner was a GVA student and we had a really good time with each other. She told me about how she has changed since she came to GVA and I told her about my trip from Beijing to America. Music was an exciting class, too .We learnt an amazing song calledI’ve got peace like a river. We sang it in three different languages—Chinese, English and Spanish. The students in the math class were really active, they discussed with each other and got different views from each other.
In a word, there are many differences between America and China. But it is a colorful and peaceful country. I hope I can visit there again one day.
